Company description

The company ICV GmbH, based in Oberndorf aN was founded in 1990 in Dornhan. Initially the production was focused in the wire-molybdenum spraying of transmission parts for customers from the automotive industry. In 2000 the company moved to larger premises to Oberndorf aN.

Meanwhile supplied ICV customers from mechanical engineering, textile industry, paper manufacturing industry, medical technology, electrical engineering and research with high-quality ceramic and metal coatings for various applications.

For over 22 years we have been successful with the coating technology and are founding members of the GTS (Association of Thermal Sprayers). Based on years of experience and certifications by TÜV according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 and the GTS the quality of our coatings is always assured and reproducible.

By working closely with specialist suppliers in the finishing of coatings, we offer you complete part fabrication and repairs includingFinishing at. Through our high level of flexibility very short delivery times are at any time possible, which is especially appreciated during repair coatings from our customers. We finished quickly and cost of the item to mass production.

With our method of plasma spraying and high velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF), as well as wire flame spraying and powder flame spraying, we are your reliable partner for metal coatings and ceramic coatings.

In thermal spraying, the desired surface materials in the form of wire, rod or powder depending on the application with different methods or melted in a torch and deposited on the surface of the component. The surface is mostly previously roughened by blasting, in order to ensure clamping of the melted particles on the surface. This creates an adherent layer.

It> 2 mm are possible depending on the material layer thicknesses.Due to component-specific covers functional surfaces can be partially coated. The strength of adhesion to the edges is limited. Therefore, edges should be> 0.7 mm are rounded with a radius.

The surface can be refinished so accurately depending on the sprayed-on material by grinding, turning, lapping, polishing. The coating material may be a single element, an alloy or a composite material. Since no undue thermal stress of the substrate occurs during coating, structural changes of the base material can be avoided.

The selection of products and layers is practically unlimited. The coatings are usually made of metals, ceramics, carbides or individually assembled spray materials.

The use of thermally sprayed coatings is an advanced and cost-effective method to impart desired properties to a surface. These allow increased performance in the specific application.By the use case fitted surface, often costs can be saved in the base material.

According to studies, only 10% of the potential applications of thermal coatings are utilized in Germany.
